None Forgotten

Traditionally, a dwarf that has passed is cremated in a special funeral forge, the heat of which is used to craft a tool or weapon associated with the dwarf in life. It is said that a bit of the deceased one’s spirit is imbued in the creation. For those rare and few that are honored with entombment in stone within the Dünir’s earthen halls, the Tombwardens keep a reverent and glorified watch.

The None Forgotten cosmetic add-ons will be available in the Ashes of Creation shop from August 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific until September 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific. Don’t forget that Charms and Good Fortune addons will be removed on August 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific when the new cosmetics swap over.

We’d also like to inform our glorious community that the unannounced September Pre-Order Packs will be our final Pre-Order Packs. More information regarding this can be found in the FAQ at the end of this article.

Lavaliere of Devotion

1920 - Accessory Accessory Cosmetic Skin *

These pendants representing commitment and devotion to the Goddess of Creation have been crafted in the same manner since the dwarves first struck the ore of Verra. Made of gold, silver, platinum, or even verrite, each emblazoned phoenix is said to retain the warmth of its forging, gently comforting the devout as the symbol rests against their chest.

Flaming Skull of Unrest

1920 - Pet Pet Cosmetic Skin *

Flaming Skulls of Unrest are manifestations of the necromantic forces of Corruption. Consisting of a skull engulfed with unholy fire, it is voraciously drawn to those that are devoted to the Divine. It is theorized by the clerics of Dün that the skulls will not cease in their malice toward those of the priestly cloth until the remains of the skulls’ body is found and given proper rest.

Rugged Anvilian Warhog

1920 - Mount Mount Cosmetic Skin *

The Anvilian hog is a large swine native to the Anvils of northern Vandagar. Though highly temperamental, the hog has been known to be trainable and rideable in battle. Their sheer size and ferocity make them fearsome mounts for thrill seeking dwarves and other venturous creatures residing in the Tabletop Mountains. The Dünir returning to the Anvils after centuries of absence have found the hogs even larger, and meaner, than the myths described them to be.

Tombwarden’s Regalia

1920 - Costume Costume Cosmetic Skin *

Adorned in their traditional colors of maroon and gold, the plate armored Tombwardens stand their watch over their esteemed deceased. Typically the positions are held by aged veteran warriors who have reached the end of their battle days, and have had some association with the departed they guard. For example, they might be a former officer of a heroic general or a royal guard of a beloved queen. The shifts are short and quiet, but steeped in symbolism and respect.

Hearse of the Honored

1920 - Transport Caravan Cosmetic Skin *

A hulking wagon of thick wood and stone, the Hearse of the Honored carries the volcanically formed cask of the esteemed to their place of entombment. The symbol for the Goddess of Creation, as well as runes of protection, respect, and admiration, adorn the sides of the vehicle. The Dünir in the streets reverently step aside, helm in hand, to make way for the quietly lumbering carrier, as it transports one more to the Halls of Reverence.

Forge of Remembrance

1920 - Building Freehold Business Building Cosmetic Skin *

A specially designed structure that serves as both a crematorium and forge. For a society that delves into the ground, burials as humans perform are not sensible. A Dünir in death still wishes to be of use to their kin, and so with reverence, the body is made to ash and burn, while a fine tool or weapon is constructed with the heat generated. Firing a Forge of Remembrance to only serve a single purpose is considered sacrilege.
