We broadcast our Ashes of Creation July Development Update live on Twitch Thursday, July 31, 2025, with Creative Director, Steven Sharif, and Director of Communications, Margaret Krohn.
During the livestream, we discussed a wide variety of topics, including progress towards dynamic gridding, server performance, the Unreal Engine 5.6 transition, an analysis of time-to-kill, and guild storage testing. We also provided details related to how we are further improving the Anvils area, level four nodes and vassalship, the first-time user experience (FTUE), and other systems such as lighting and the future economy and stat rebalance.
Additional segments included discussion related to feedback loops and the QA process, as well as a preview of towns and the crates system. We concluded with an interactive Q&A session, addressing community questions about development timelines, upcoming features, and what players can expect next in Alpha Two.
Reminder: Ashes of Creation is an open and transparent development project, so you’ll see work-in-progress art, systems, and mechanics. Feel free to leave your feedback in the video comments or on our forums, and let us know what you think of these new additions!
