When the mortal races fled Verra, they brought with them what they could carry to start fresh in the world of Sanctus. Sadly, many of the crafts and creations they left behind fell to ruin, or were ground down to their component parts and carried off by wind and rain. Fortunately, enough of their traditional crafting methods were enhanced by magic, and perfected by many generations of master artisans, and consequently, some fine pieces still endure. Many artifacts survived the ravages of time and still await rediscovery for those willing to brave the dangers of the crumbling ruins in which they were entombed.
The Windswept Wonders cosmetic add-ons will be available in the Ashes of Creation shop from May 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific until June 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific. Weathered Waistwrap
Accessory Cosmetic Skin *
One can still see long strips of crimson fabric clinging to the sun bleached ribcages of fallen warriors strewn across the golden sands of Verra, fluttering in the desert wind like the forgotten flags of a defeated army. In ages past, swordsmen wore these waist wraps into battle to show their dedication to the ancient art of Vaelune swordsmanship. Today, the stubborn endurance of these textiles remains in testament to the skill of the silk and linen weavers of old, who set the highest of standards for tailors across the old world.
Adolescent Galestalker
Pet Cosmetic Skin *
Galestalkers take decades to mature, but even young hatchlings can be deadly foes. Recently, the Vek secret to ruling the skies was rediscovered in old, recovered hatchery manuals. The Ornthiologues were famous for raising warbirds that could challenge dragons in the air, and with some work, our smiths may be able to recreate their armaments. Who will be clever and brave enough to take responsibility for training new riders and untamed mounts?
Veteran Aurite Drake
Mount Cosmetic Skin *
While no living being from Sanctus has ever seen a living drake, many of the noble creatures that survived the Harbinger Apocalypse remember well the bonds forged between their ancestors and the Empyrean Skyraiders of old. This elderly drake belonged to a renowned member of that legendary order–and though her scales don’t glisten as they once did, and battle damage denies her the gift of flight, it’s clear that she remembers the love and respect she and her former master shared.
Tarnished Skyraider’s Chain
Costume Cosmetic Skin *
When the call came to evacuate Verra through the divine portals, the venerable order of Empyrean Skyraiders refused to leave. Since drake and other wyrmkind mounts could not survive in the non-magical world of Sanctus, rather than abandon them, the majority of Skyraiders chose to die with their loyal steeds. To this day, many poignant descriptions of the proud warriors atop their loyal steeds, nobly plummeting into the seething hordes of daemonic invaders, still survive.
Aerostone Vault
Caravan Cosmetic Skin *
Made with the same arcane technology that powers the aerospires, these stone vaults are secure and easy to transport when harnessed to conventional beasts. The vault glides on a pillow of warding essence that can sustain heavy loads and provide self-stabilizing traction. The lack of wheels, gears, and mechanical parts greatly reduces the cost of maintenance, but if anything were to happen to their warding engines they’d be nothing more than hollowed-out rocks, blocking the road.
Aerospire
Freehold Medium House Building Cosmetic Skin *
The great stone tower leans against the cliffside; a toppled obelisk, featureless and unassuming. In its heyday, the arcane protection of Essence held the structure upright, bolstered by an undulating pillow of stabilizing magicks. We may never know who made it, or if it can ever be restored. Despite centuries of dormancy, a clever mage might find a way to recharge the spell. If restored, it might be a worthy edifice for any adventurer to call home.
