Some seek glory by facing off against the most fearsome and ferocious beasts Verra has to offer, in barbaric and bloody battles to the death. Others seek the same monstrosities, but for very different reasons. These gastronomical gladiators risk their lives every day, not for gold or looted valuables, but for the finest tantalizing cuts of fresh monster meat. Unless you’ve experienced the intense flavor of honeyed cyclops tenderloin infused with fresh rosemary and sage, slow cooked for eight hours, it’s difficult to understand their obsession. Recipes like this are closely-guarded secrets for the Gingham Chefs, a consortium of culinary artisans who have devoted their entire lives to mastering the creation of such delectable dishes. With exceptional dedication and patience, the Gingham Chefs are famous for their unparalleled epicurean innovation. Adventurous souls willing to travel to faraway lands in pursuit of the most exquisitely decadent taste sensations need look no further than Fellaren, the homeland of the great culinary masters, the Gingham Chefs.

Marinien's Herb Pouch
Accessory Cosmetic Skin *
In the early days of Verra, it was Marinien the Elder who first suggested that the element of fire could be manipulated to cultivate new methods of cooking. Prior to this, cooks stirred and stewed over low flames conjured by pyromancy. In her attempts to evoke new and irresistible flavors never before tasted, Marinien spent weeks in the field, gathering and filling her herb pouch with unusual spices and herbs in her quest to create original taste sensations so sumptuous they are rumored to have been the principle cause of bloody wars between nations. While she cannot possibly be held responsible for the ensuing casualties, her popular guide to foraging, The Simple Scythe, remains the authority on the subject to this day.
Sage Plumph Companion
Pet Cosmetic Skin *
The Sage Plumph can often be found scampering along the forest floor, foraging for nuts and berries to fill its nest before winter’s first frost. This adorable woodland creature with the body of a squirrel, the tail plumage of a pheasant, and the long ears of a rabbit is known to enter hibernation with the first snowfall. They slumber in the nooks of trees, reawakening just as the first blooms of spring smell their sweetest. Plumphs are curious, but somewhat nervous creatures, making them somewhat difficult to befriend. The dedicated trainer can overcome this shortcoming with time and patience, and will eventually discover that Plumphs are friendly and surprisingly observant creatures, unmatched at locating the largest and tastiest acorns and chestnuts in any woodland.
Saberfang
Saberfang Hauler
Mount Cosmetic Skin *
The Saberfang Hauler is a stalwart choice for any earnest farmer's acreage. Calm and proud in temperament, these toughened draft animals can be harnessed singly or in teams, and used to pull wagons, sleds, or ploughs. As Pyrian history will attest, vast herds of Saberfangs once roamed Verra’s grasslands. They drew their strength from their muscular builds – a Gods-given gift dating back to the origins of their ancient species. In those days, the Great Pyrian Empire was nothing but a collection of small treehouse villages, and had yet to brave the ancient forests, whose shadows were stalked by deadly, demonic predators. Today, domesticated Saberfangs are the steadfast beasts of burden, tilling the soil of the Pyrian croplands with their graceful stride and proud, balanced stance.
The Gingham Chefs
Costume Cosmetic Skin *
For the weary traveler, enjoying a gourmet meal prepared by a Gingham Chef can be a welcome respite from the hardships of survival in the wilderness. From their provincial origins in Fellarin to the far reaches of Elysium, the rustic flavors of the Gingham Chefs are unmatched. Even the simplest side dish of roasted vegetables, or steaming bowl of hearty stew, prepared by these master chefs has an irresistible aroma that seems to draw hungry diners from half a continent away, and inspire them to improve their own skills in the kitchen. As Marinien the Elder, whose popular recipes have ignited cookfires since the earliest days of Verra, was fond of saying, “No one who cooks, cooks alone, for even at her most solitary. A chef in her kitchen is surrounded by the wisdom of generations of chefs past, the sage advice of chefs present, and the taste and discernment of future gourmets for whom she practices the bewitching arts of epicurean alchemy.”
Vineyard's Bounty
Caravan Cosmetic Skin *
Quality vintage wine has long been an important part of Empyrean Society. While the elves have an appreciation for viticulture that is unparalleled among the races of Verra, no Empyrean vintner is of greater renown than those of Fellaren. Each season, Fellaren wineries produce countless barrels of their finest vintages for shipment all across the continent. Every oak barrel is carefully manufactured and strengthened to ensure that it survives its arduous journey, and the many dangers of the open road. When a goblet of Fellaren wine is poured, the elves customarily raise their glasses in a toast: "Vilesse syenitet vangwe!" This roughly translates into "May the light of the Seven shine upon you.” Empyreans believe that to drink wine is to imbibe the spirit of life itself, and that those who partake in the fruit of the vine are celebrating the gifts of abundance that the Gods have bestowed.
